I can't understand Chinese very well yet. Every once in a while I understand a complete sentence without trying, and I get very excited. I've found that watching kids cartoons in Chinese is a great confidence builder because I have a higher likelihood of understanding everything.

While in Chinatown the other day I found a box set of a cartoon from Japan that had the dialog completely redone into Chinese. It is a fabulous show! It's entertaining and I can understand quite a bit of it.
