kōng shān bù jiàn rén
空山不见人，
dàn wén rén yŭ xiăng
但闻人语响。
făn jǐng rù shēn lín
返景入深林，
fù zhào qīng tái shàng
复照青苔上。
鹿柴 —- a small rural village , 但—- but , only , 返景—– reflection of the sunset 复 — again
照 — reflect , 青苔 —- lichen
In the vacant silent mountain, though you cannot see people , you still hear people’s voices every now and then. The rest light of sunset shines through the woods and reflects onto the lichen.
It is a picture of such a quiet ambit.
